Luis Fonsi Closes Tour
The concerts, which will be intimate and allow the artist to get close to his audience, it will take place at the end of November on Thursday the 23rd, Friday the 24th and Saturday the 25th.
“We’ve prepared a different concert than the one in the Puerto Rico Coliseum, so the audience can enjoy Fonsi’s greatest hits more intimately,” said concert producer Tony Mojena.
“We’ve been working for weeks on all the preparations to make this an unforgettable night,” added Tony Mojena.
The “Paso a Paso” tour, which started last February, has already taken Fonsi to Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Chile, Buenos Aires, Rosario, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston and the Dominican Republic.
“I’m very happy to have been able to end the tour in Puerto Rico,” said the musician.
“I don’t want to end this year of so many personal and professional accomplishments without being able to enjoy that with my people,” added Fonsi, who also said he was happy about his prestigious Latin Grammy nominations for Song of the Year and Best Vocal Pop Album by a Male Artist.
Fonsi was recently re-elected by People magazine in Spanish as one of the 50 Most Beautiful People of the Year.
But it hasn’t all been easy for Fonsi; he and Adamari López had to cancel their wedding multiple times and have been through some rough times dealing with the breast cancer she was diagnosed with.
The wedding was postponed for the final time last year to give her peace of mind and time to fight the cancer, then the couple got finally married in June in Puerto Rico.
Fonsi has been by her side supporting her, protecting her, waiting for her. Various sources close to the couple say they have come out of this battle against cancer stronger than before.
The singer has been the one facing the public and the press to protect her and even delayed some of his own production to be with her in the most difficult moments.
The Mexican soap opera actress had one breast removed and has received chemotherapy to eliminate all remaining cancer.
“Life puts a lot of things in your path, and God gives us all we can handle,” said the actress in a statement to press, adding that she feels “strong and has faith in God.”

Luis Fonsi moves Dominican fans
The artist showed last Saturday why he’s considered one of the best Latino interpreters today with his performance of the “Paso a paso” concert at the Teatro La Fiesta in the Hotel Jaragua.
The talented singer kept his promise, delivering a memorable concert without any waste or any stops, joined by six musicians, two backup singers and four dancers.
The Puerto Rican artist performed the best from his repertoire on a night that had its upbeat moments and its genuine love songs. He did “Quisiera poder olvidarme de ti,” “Perdóname,” “Estoy perdido” and “Amor secreto” among many others.
“Today I’m going to sing to my second land from my heart,” said an emotional Fonsi before inviting Pavel Núñez onstage, whom he called a friend and a musician he respects very much.
Together they sang the first song the Puerto Rican artist wrote, “Mi sueño. Abrazar la vida.” The crowd responded with a chant of “Fonsi, Fonsi, Fonsi.” A male audience member could even be heard screaming, “ I love you, Luis Fonsi.”
Over the concert’s hour and 50 minutes, Fonsi proved to the young people and adults present that he is one of the best current representative of romantic music.
Fonsi recently got married to the actress Adamaris López, whom he has been with for four years. Puerto Rico has called the event the “wedding of the year.”
Fonsi was also re-elected by People Magazine in Spanish as one the 50 Most Beautiful People of the year.

Luis Fonsi, promoter
In a recent interview, the musician said his concert will have a little of everything, “from acoustic and romantic moments to dancing and high energy.”
Recently, Fonsi got married to the actress Asamaris López, with whom he has had a four-year relationship. In Puerto Rico, it’s been called the “Wedding of the Year.”
Fonsi was also chosen again by People Magazine in Spanish as one of the year’s 50 most beautiful people.
But it wasn’t all easy for Fonsi: his wedding with Adamri López was cancelled multiple times, and he went through a difficult time when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
After delaying the marriage one last time last year, so that she would have time and peace of mind to fight against cancer discovered by doctors, the couple finally got married in June in Puerto Rico.
Fonsi has been with her, supporting her, protecting her, waiting for her; according to sources close to the couple, they’ve come out even stronger of this fight against cancer.

Adamari Lopez, Luis Fonsi's Puerto Rico Wedding
Former N'Sync member Joey Fatone, merengue singer Olga Tañon and "7th Heaven" star/ "Entertainment Tonight" correspondent Carlos Ponce were among the 400 guests who gathered at La Iglesia de San Jose in Villa Caparra, Puerto Rico on June 3, 2006 to witness telenovela actress Adamari Lopez, victorious over her fight against breast cancer, wed Latin singing sensation Luis Fonsi.
Ten bridesmaids and groomsmen walked down the aisle before the bride made her grand entrance in a strapless ivory gown by Colombian-born designer Gustavo Arango, which she paired with a lace veil and a dainty tiara.
Following the mid-afternoon ceremony, the newlyweds ventured to the Caribe Hilton in San Juan, where the bride, who had changed into another equally ethereal Gustavo Arango creation, enjoyed performances by Milly Quezada and El Gran Combe de Puerto Rico along with reggaeton, disco and hits of the 80's at a reception decorated with arrangements of orchids, lilacs and white roses by Hojas Siempre Verdes.
After honeymoon getaway, the couple will be busy writing thank you notes for the gifts they received from family and friends from their wedding registries at Macy's, which listed pieces of Villeroy & Boch china and Baccarat stemware, and Neiman Marcus, where a Tumi travel case and Del Conte picture frames were on the wish list.

MEXICO CITY (AP) - Colombian rocker Juanes will join other Latin musicians for a concert in Los Angeles in May to benefit children injured by land mines in his homeland.
Among those scheduled to participate in the Colombia Without Mines event are Alejandro Sanz, Carlos Vives, Ricardo Montaner, Ana Gabriel, Juan Luis Guerra, Laura Pausini and Luis Fonsi.
The concert will be held May 24 at the Gibson Amphitheatre, Juanes announced this week. Funds will go to help 500 children in need of artificial limbs.

"By performing at this show, these artists will be able to permanently help the victims."
In the past 15 years, 4,500 people have died as a result of stepping on land mines in Colombia, a country torn by conflict among leftist rebels, right-wing paramilitaries and the army.

World Exclusive: The Return of Adamari López
“Fonsi asked me to get in the car and said to me, ‘The biopsy results are in, and they are positive,’” retells López to People en Español in tears, referring to the day when her fiancé Luis Fonsi told her the news that would change her life forever. Although at that time López did not know how advanced her breast cancer was, nor that she would need multiple tests, operations, evasive treatments, and reconstructive surgeries, she did imagine that the following months would be painful not only for her, but also for her partner.
Ironically, the news arrived the same day Fonsi was starting to record his Paso a Paso album, which he was temped to put a halt. “He thought, ‘I am going to stop doing this for now,’ and I told him, ‘No, don't stop, because this will be your escape,’” explains López. Full of courage, and with the love of her life by her side, the actress started the exhausting treatments; among them, chemotherapy, which made her lose her beautiful hair.
Time has passes, and even though her hair has started to grow back, López still has to undergo additional reconstructive surgeries. For Fonsi, the lesson has been learned. “You never know what tomorrow might bring,” explains the singer.
Now, closer than ever, the couple is eagerly looking forward to preparing for their long-awaited wedding. Without hesitation, the actress states, “I want to live, I want to get married, I want to have children, and I want to continue working. I will not give up.”
