About

I got the idea for this site in December of 2001, from looking at other fansites. I thought how cool it would be to show my appreciation to Fonsi's music by building him a web site. Now, there are a lot of cool Fonsi fansites out there, but I said to myself, yours has got to be different. The question was, how can my site be different?

Around this time, we (the fans) already knew that Fonsi was planning to release an all English album for the following year (2002), and I knew that with this album, Fonsi would gain more fans, especially English-speaking fans. I then noticed that all the sites related to Fonsi were in Spanish, so I thought, 'hey, I'll make mine's bilingual for those new English fans!'

So on January 30th of 2002 I opened up an account at GeoCities, knowing absolutely nothing on how to build a web site. For the first five months, before I officially opened this site in May 2002, this site had a temporary layout (made with templates and PageBuilder) until I learned how to actually create a web site, and figured out what was it that I wanted on my site. I basically self-taught myself HTML, and anything new I learned, I'd apply it to the site. For those of you who have been with me from the beginning, you can tell how this site has improved as well as my HTML skills.

Slowly, as the site began to become more popular, I added new features, an interactive area on the site, and so forth. Basically, the site itself grew. And most of it is thanks to you fellow fans who contribute with your suggestions, pictures and what not, so that this site can offer the very best of Luis Fonsi.

I have been hosted on many different sites (GeoCities.com, Cherry Flavour.com, Webphilia.com, Flirtatious.org, AtSpace.com) and have met many wonderful people and have learned a lot more on the way.

So there you have the reason why I built this site and a small history of it. I hope you enjoy your stay at this site and keep the Fonsi pride alive!
