You were walking down the street with your friends, or you were at the mall, and all of sudden who did you see walking in the other direction? None other than Luis Fonsi himself. Or you might have seen Fonsi in an in-store event. Or maybe you've seen him in a concert. Whatever your story is, why not share it with all the other fans?
Hola! My name is Moisés Sánchez and I'm 15. I was at the concert on Saturday August 6 and Luis Fonsi rocked the house, and so did Juanes and Ricardo Montanes, but i was there for Fonsi. Luis didn't bring all his band and the audio was so bad that the music stopped and poor Luis Fonsi kept singing, and after like 10 seconds the music came back where it stopped. Luis Fonsi sang so good that I didn't care of the music stopping. And my mom said that how you can tell if an artist is an artist. All five songs he sang were great (Imagíname Sin Ti, Por Una Mujer, Quien Te Dijo Eso?, Abrazar La Vida and Nada Es Para Siempre). The best part of the concert was at the end where Luis Fonsi sang Nada Es Para Siempre that since he started singing the song the music and the audio was bad and he said (in spanish) "Wait, can you please cut the music?" Then he pulled a stool and asked the guitar guy to come foward and he said that "You as the audience deserve better" and at that time everybody including me started to scream. And also he said that we had to be his chorus and it was just Luis Fonsi, us the audience, and the music of the guitar. Luis Fonsi for me was the best one in the concert. Well that's my story and I hope you like it.
Hi, I'm Maggie, the creator of this page, I'm right now living in Ecuador and I finally got the chance to meet Luis Fonsi in person. It was on Monday, December 13th, 2004 in Tony Roma's in Mall del Sol, Guayaquil, Ecuador. The dinner was programmed for 7pm. We were like 25-30 people there. Fonsi arrived at 7:45pm. He greeted everyone and we proceded in taking pictures with him. Then we were all seated at the table and Fonsi came around to everyone of us signing autographs. Everyone got the chance to talk to him, he sang a bit of Quién Te Dijo Eso acapella, local television reporters came to interview him, we proceded in talking with him again, and about 8:45pm he said goodbye to each of us there. :)
Fonsi did a private mini-concert at Américas Latin Cuisine and Tapas in Dallas last November when his new CD came out. He sang five or six songs, including an impromptu "Feliz Cumpleaños" to a puerto rican mujer whose friends surprised her by bringing her. Fonsi also seemed to like my friend Maribel, because he hugged her and pulled her back toward him as she was about to walk away. She's beautiful -- but her husband was right there! It was a riot!
Let's see, he sang "Abrazar La Vida," "¿Quién Te Dijo Eso?" "Imagíname Sin Tí," and a couple of other hits. He came with only his guitarist, and they sat on stools on the small stage in this quaint little restaurant. there were under 100 people there, including the whole wait staff and bartenders and all. Awesome.
We sat right in front of the stage, and he was gorgeous and his voice was strong yet sweet, as always. Cantaba con muchisimo cariño.
he took pics with us and signed puerto rican flags and CD covers and posters. Then he walked out through a back door, and we all looked out the window as he walked by. It was surreal.
Have you had that chance of meeting Fonsi in person? Tell us your story! Just email your story to me and I'll print it here.
